It gives me a great pleasure to introduce our college to students, prospective students and their parents through this website. Ours is the first college for women is Chamarajanagar district started in 1983 with objective of imparting higher education to rural girls in an exclusive institution. BA programme was first to be introduced and B.Com programme was added in very next year is in 1984. With an ambition to take Post-graduate education and research activities to the doorsteps of rural commerce graduates Post graduate centre for studies in Commerce was started in 2001. Also BBA Programme added in 2008 and BCA Programme started in 2023-24 on demand by students and parents.
Apart from the above said courses the College in offering short term Computer course, spoken English Classes, Language Lab, Add-On Courses in Secretarial Management and Insurance Management and Foundation Courses in Human right Education. More than 500 students including 100 Post graduate students are pursuing their education in various disciplines.
The College has well-qualified and motivated faculty and staff, ideal environment for academics well planned infrastructure, well equipped Library, free internet facility, in campus hostel for girls, hygiene vegetation cafeteria, indoor and outdoor facility, verities of co-curricular activities, NSS, Red cross Unit and various committees to take care of students, seminars, workshops, special lectures, cultural programme and various competitions are regularly organized to strengthen the personality of students.
College has seen reaccredited by NAAC B+ Grade and permanently affiliated to University of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar University, Chamarajanagar under the able guidance of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which is a socio-cultural institution that has pioneered the concept of education as a tool for social change, the college is desirous of scaling new height is days to come.
