The Department came into existence with the starting of the college in the year 1983-84, to impart higher education exclusively for women, who were so for denied off.
Kannada is one of major departments in the college and has about 99% of the total student strength. Optional Kannada paper was introduced in the year 1997-98 as one of the combinations for B.A along with History and Economic See more.
