Principal's Message

It gives me a great pleasure to introduce our college to students, prospective students and their parents through this website. Ours is the first college for women in Chamarajanagar district started in 1983 with objective of imparting higher education to rural girls in an exclusive institution. BA programme was first to be introduced and B.Com programme was added in very next year is in 1984. With an ambition to take Post-graduate education and research activities to the doorsteps of rural commerce graduates Post graduate centre for studies in Commerce was started in 2001. Also BBM Programme added in 2008 on demand by students and parents.

            Apart from the above said courses the College in offering short term Computer course, spoken English Classes, Language Lab, Add-On Courses in Secretarial Management and Insurance Management and Foundation Courses in Human right Education. Nearing 700 students including 100 Post graduate students are pursuing their education in various disciplines.

  • Department Of Kannada

    The Department came into existence with the starting of the college in the year 1983-84, to impart higher education exclusively for women, who were so for denied off. 

    Kannada is one of major departments in the college and has about 99% of the total student strength. Optional Kannada paper was introduced in the year 1997-98 as one of the combinations for B.A along with History and Economic.

    The department consists of one M.Phil and two faculty members who have cleared NET / SLET. The department has trained students to participate in Literary and cultural activities like drama, essay, poetry, writing, debate, dance & singing competitions held both in the college and in other colleges and forums. The department has over 100 reference books.
